After placing 7th in 2013, the Alcorn State Women's Track and Field Team moved up one spot at the 2014 SWAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Lady Braves placed 6th with a total of 40 points (the most since the 2006 season).

In 2012, the Alcorn State Women's Cross Country shot up to 3rd place and were only a few points runner-up Mississippi Valley and SWAC Champion Alabama State. Last season the Lady Braves didn't fare so well placing 7th at the SWAC Championships.
